Shankh is a small residential practice working on one site at a time. New build and bespoke renovation, taken from survey and planning consent through to completion. We hold the accounts, run the site and answer for the programme ourselves.

The practice is deliberately small. We take on one residential site at a time, new build or renovation, and stay with it from first survey to final snag, acting as our own principal contractor. Materials are bought direct from merchants and specialist suppliers, trades are engaged and coordinated by us, and the programme is ours to answer for. Nothing is passed to a management layer that has never stood on the site.
The result is a shorter chain between the drawing and the finished wall, tighter control of specification and cost, and work we are prepared to put our name on.

No showhome language and no promises we cannot programme. These are the working rules the site actually runs on.
Direct procurement
We hold the merchant accounts and buy the materials ourselves. That keeps the specification honest, removes a margin from every pallet, and means deliveries land when the programme needs them rather than when it suits someone else.
One site at a time
We do not run parallel jobs. A single site means decisions are made by someone who was there that morning, and the last ten per cent, the part most projects lose interest in, gets finished properly.
